Depending on the type of HVAC system present in the home, the thermostat's settings may need to be adjusted in order for it to work correctly. This may include switching the system type between Standard and Heat Pump mode. Each thermostat has its own method for accessing these instructions detailed below.

2GIG
- To access the settings menu on the 2GIG thermostat, press and hold the MODE button for 5 seconds. This is found on the bottom-left side of the thermostat.
- After 5 seconds, the screen should say "Setup".
- By using the arrows, you can scroll through the different possible settings that can be changed.
GoControl
- To access the settings menu on the GoControl thermostat, press and hold the FAN button for 5 seconds. This is found on the bottom-left side of the thermostat.
- After 5 seconds, the screen should say "Setup".
- By using the arrows, you can scroll through the different possible settings that can be changed.
Honeywell T6 Pro
- The thermostat may be in standby mode. If it is, awaken the Thermostat by pressing on the screen one time. The screen will light up and display additional options.
- To access the settings menu on the Honeywell T6 Pro thermostat, press and hold the Menu button in bottom-center of the screen for 5 seconds.
- Use the arrows on the right and left sides of the screen to find the "Device Setup" option.
- Once you find "Device Setup", press Select.
- Using the arrows on the right and left sides of the screen, you can scroll through different thermostat settings that are available to be changed so they may fit the HVAC system.
