The Smart Thermostats installed in the home are also battery-operated except for a few cases. 


NOTE:

  • Some Thermostats are hardwired to the HVAC system and draw power from the home.  In these cases, the batteries will not be installed on the device. 
  • These thermostats display "Error: Batteries" or "Remove batteries" messages when they are hardwired and batteries are installed. If you see this message, remove the batteries.

GoControl

  • The GoControl Thermostat requires four (4) AA batteries.
  • Remove the face-plate by running your fingers along the top edge of the thermostat, and pulling the plate towards you, off the device.
  • Do Not Remove the Thermostat from the wall. Remove only the face-plate.



2GIG

  • The 2Gig Thermostat requires four (4) AA batteries.
  • Remove the face-plate by running your fingers along the top edge of the thermostat, and pulling the plate towards you, off the device.
  • Do Not Remove the Thermostat from the wall. Remove only the face-plate.



Honeywell T6 Pro

  • The Honeywell T6 Thermostat device requires that removal from the wall in order to replace the batteries.
  • The wiring for a Honeywell T6 Pro includes a wiring plate that remains on the wall when you remove the device.
