Every Smart Lock requires four (4) AA batteries to operate.
It's important to ensure that the Smart Lock batteries are at a charge level greater than 60% before leaving the home.
This article discusses how to change the batteries in each lock type that is currently compatible with Propify:

YRD110
- The batteries in the YRD110 model can be replaced by loosening the screw on the the battery cover with a Phillips-head screwdriver.
YRD 136
- The batteries in the YRD136 model can be replaced by using a push-pin to remove the battery cover.
- Every YRD136 model is shipped with a push-pin to remove the cover.
YRD256 and YRD652
- The batteries in the YRD256 and YRD652 can be replaced by unscrewing the battery cover with a Phillips-head screwdriver.
- NOTE: The green cartridge inserted above the Lock's body is a Z-Wave adapter. Do Not Remove the Z-Wave cartridge.
Kwikset 620
The Kwikset Smart Lock has a different battery compartment than the Yale Locks mentioned above.
- Push the cover upwards with your hand.
2. Use the battery-pack Tab to lift the battery-pack out of the housing.
