1. To begin pairing the YRD 256/652 lock to the Propify hub, press the Add Device button in the Propify Installation Guide. 
  • NOTE: the Propify Installation Guide will to be updated with multiple lock models, so you may ignore the current lock name and photos in the Installation Guide. The steps below will guide you through this process.   



2. Under "Available Devices to Pair", select Yale YRD110 Smart Lock.  Press Continue until you reach the screen that says "Exclusion Mode". 



3. Contact the Propify Smart Home Team at  866-833-0449 to retrieve the lock's master code.  This code is required to access the Z-Wave pairing menu.  Each lock has a unique master code, so do not save or use master codes on other devices. 

 

4. Once the master code is retrieved, press the Yale logo on the top-center of the keypad to awaken the device.  Enter the six (6) digit master code provided by the Propify Smart Home Team, followed by the gear logo in the bottom right of the keypad. 
  • If the numbers one (1) through seven (7) begin to illuminate on the keypad, move forward to step 5.  If you do not see this happen, retry step 4.


5. On the keypad, press the number seven (7) followed by the gear icon on the bottom right on the keypad.
  • If the number three (3) illuminates on the keypad, move forward to step 6. 

  • If the number one (1) illuminates on the screen, skip to step 8.

 

6. On the Propify Installation Guide, press the Exclusion Mode button. The Propify Hub will search for a device that can be cleared of any additional pairings.  Since a lock can only be paired to one hub at a time, this step must be taken. 



7. On the YRD256 and YRD652 keypad, press the number three (3) followed by the gear button in the bottom right.     

  • The lock will immediately notify you if this step was successful.  If successful, the lock will verbally say "Completed".  Once this is message is received, repeat steps 4 and 5 and then continue to step 8.  
  • If this step failed, the lock will beep 6 times.  At this point, please retry steps 3-7.   

 

8. Press Continue on the Propify Installation Guide to see the "Inclusion Mode" screen.  On this screen, press the Inclusion Mode button.  The Propify Hub will now begin broadcasting a signal that allows another devices to connect to it.   



9. On the YRD256 and YRD652 keypad, press the number one (1)followed by the gear button in the bottom right.   
  • The lock keypad may blink or turn off for about 30 seconds.  The lock will then notify you if the pairing was successful.  If successful, the lock will verbally say "Completed".  Your Propify Installation Guide will then redirect you back to the home screen.   
  • If this step failed, the lock will beep 6 times.  Please retry steps 3-9.


Once the lock is paired move on to Available Thermostats.
