1. To begin pairing the YRD 136 lock to the Propify hub, press the Add Device button on the Propify installation Guide.
  • NOTE: the Propify Installation Guide will be updated with multiple lock models, so you may ignore the current lock name and photos in the Installation Guide. The steps below will guide you through this process.

2. Under "Available Devices to Pair", select Yale YRD100 Smart Lock

3. With the help of a push-pin or similar tool, remove the battery cover from the YRD136 lock.  This will reveal the Z-Wave pairing button used in future steps.  The batteries will remain in the lock.

  • Once the battery cover is removed, find the Z-Wave pairing button located on the left-side of the lock.  You will also find the Z-Wave icon next to this button.  This icon closely resembles a WiFi logo.

Note: Read the next 2 steps before taking action.

4. On the Propify Installation page, press the Exclusion Mode button.  The Propify hub will search for a device that can be cleared of any additional pairings.  Since a lock can only be paired to one hub at a time, this step must be taken.

5. After pressing the Exclusion Mode button, press the Z-Wave pairing button with a pin and hold it down.  The lock will make five (5) beeping noises, which indicates the lock is already paired to another device.  Once the beeping stops, you may release the Z-Wave pairing button.

  • If this step is successful, the lock itself will make three (3) soft chime noises.  At this point, you may continue to the next step.
  • Note: If the lock only beeped two (2) times when holding down the Z-Wave pairing button, you may continue to the next step regardless of the final sound.
  • If this step failed, the lock will make six (6) loud-flickering noises. If you hear this, please repeat steps 4 and 5.  If this fails multiple times, contact the Propify Smart Home Team at 866-833-0449.

6. On the Propify Installation page, press the Inclusion Mode button.  The Propify hub will now begin broadcasting a signal that allows another devices to connect to it.

7. After pressing the Inclusion Mode button, press the Z-Wave pairing button with a pin and hold it down.  The lock will make two (2) beeping noises, which indicates the lock is free and ready to look for an available smart system.  Once the beeping stops, you may release the Z-Wave pairing button.
  • If this step is successful, the lock itself will make three (3) soft chime noises.  At this point, the Propify Installation page will redirect you back to the home screen.
  • If this step failed, the lock will make six (6) loud-flickering noises.   If you hear this noise, please repeat steps 6 and 7.  If this fails multiple times, contact the Propify Smart Home Team at 630-647-5444.
