What are Services in Propify?

  • Services are broad maintenance categories that relate to different fields of work, such as Landscaping, Plumbing, and Lighting.
  • Each service has a number of subcategories, which reflect more specific maintenance needs.
  • Individual Work Orders will display the Service and Category related to the work required



  • For example, the Landscaping service has categories for "Trim/Cut", "Irrigation" and "Remove".
  • These categories may pertain to a variety of items. An individual Landscaping work order with the "Remove" category might be for getting rid of a bush, a tree, a stump, or debris from a recent storm.
  • You may specify a category, such as "Remove", but nothing more specific than that. The assumption is that if you are equipped to remove a tree stump, you can also remove a bush.


Where can I Add or Edit the Services My Company Provides?

  • On the navigation side panel, click Settings and then click Services Provided



  • On the next page You'll see a list of available services in a menu on the left. Select one that you would like to work with.



Opting Into or Out of Service Categories

  • Once a Service is selected, a list of service categories will appear.
  • To opt in or out for a given category, click the Edit button in the top right corner.



  • On the pop-up that appears, click the arrow icon to expand the Service and see its categories.
  • You can also search for a category like "repair" and find multiple services that have repair categories.



  • Click Save to update your Category selections. Property Managers will then be able to send you work orders for the categories you have selected.
  • You may select all of the categories for a service, or pick which ones best suit your business. If you wish to be considered for every possible work order for a given service, you must select every category under that service.
